Zanzibar was the perfect end to our safari. AfriMemories arranged the transfer from Arusha, booked our Stone Town tour, and set up Safari Blue. The spice farm lunch was incredible. White sand, warm water, no stress. Exactly what we needed after the Serengeti.

Zanzibar is stunning but it's not for everyone. Stone Town is hot, busy, and the touts can wear you down. The beaches are better on the north and east coasts. AfriMemories got us to the right places, but the island itself is a mixed bag. Three stars for the island, five for the operator.

Beautiful island but do your homework. Zanzibar insurance is mandatory and costs extra. Tides affect some beaches more than others — Nungwi was better for swimming. AfriMemories warned us in advance and picked the right spots. Safari Blue was the highlight.
